Age Group 5 - 9 is now at Heritage Park Starting Friday November 7, 2008

UPDATED: GK Training times
Starting this week we have cancelled GK training for the U14 and older age groups and for the younger ones we are going to have the following changes for the next two weeks and then we are going to stop the program for this year:

Tuesday, Nov. 4th & 11th - U9/U10 Boys and Girls - From 5:00 to 6:00 - Hart High School
Thursday, Nov. 6th & 13th - U11/U13 Boys and Girls - From 5:00 to 6:00 - Hart High School

UPDATED: GK Training times
Hi Everyone, just want to let you know that as of this week and for the rest of the month of September, there are the following time changes to our Goalkeeping Training Program.

Tuesday - Girls U9 and U10 - 5:30 to 6:30 (HART HIGH SCHOOL)
Wednesday - Boys U9 and U10 - 5:30 to 6:30 (HERITAGE PARK)
Thursday - U11-U12-U13 (Boys and Girls) - 5:00 to 6:15 (HART HIGH SCHOOL)
Thursday - U14 and UP (Boys and Girls) - 6:15 to 7:30 (HART HIGH SCHOOL)


FRIDAY SKILLS
As of today Friday Sept. 5, 2008, the Club Friday Skills Clinic is cancelled until further notice. Look for information at the beginning of the new year.

COACHES MEETING SEPT 5, 2008
Meeting is at 6:30 pm and the location is the Greenhouse Cafe on Bouquet Canyon Rd in the Vons shopping center. Hope to see all coaches there.

SCV Magic Picture Day this coming Saturday and Sunday, September 6th and 7th.
We will be taking pictures at CENTRAL PARK on the open field across from Field
# 8 at the back of the park behind the basketball courts.
Please BE THERE 15 MINUTES BEFORE your scheduled time and have EVERY PLAYER fill out the photo form even if the ARE NOT TAKING PHOTOS as Nhi (Club photographer) will be taking photos of every player for our end of the year banquet.

The GU15 won the LA Rampage tournament August 23 and 24.

Congratulations to the SCV Magic GU10
for winning the Santa Barbara Summer Cup this past weekend August 23 and 24. With an oustanding effort throughout the whole tournament scoring 16 goals and allowing only 2 they beat in the Championship game the Camarillo Eagles 1-0.

Congratulations to our SCV Magic BU11 team for winning the Thirteenth Annual California Sun and Surf International Soccer Tournament in Long Beach on Monday, Aug. 3rd, with this one they won their fourth consecutive tournament. Playing in their 6th game in three days, SCV Magic played the finals against Cerritos United winning the Championship game 3 to 0, the Coaches named the entire Magic team the MVP, as it truly was a victory for all.

Please join us in congratulating Coach Jimmie Avalos the new Assistant Director of Coaching for the club as of July 1st, 2008. Jimmie brings many years of coaching experience to the club and will be helping our Director of Coaching in improving and implementing the club programs and organization.

Congratulations to the BU11 (currently BU10) team for winning the Pyramid Cup tournament played in Long Beach this weekend, July 26 and 27. The boys have won their third straight tournament, scoring 16 goals and only allowing 1 bringing their total for the last three tournaments to an impressive record of 50 goals scored and only 2 goals allowed in their last 12 games with 10 consecutive shut outs.

Congratulations to GU09 (currently GU08) who recently won the Wolfpack Invitational tournament in Irvine. They won all 4 games and scored 18 goals and held their opponents to 5 goals.

Congratulations to BU11 (currently BU10) who recently won the Wolfpack Invitational in San Juan Capistrano. The team scored 15 goals in four games and did no allow any goals from their opponents.

SCV Magic's Youth Academy begins June 27, 2008. The Academy is open to non-club players ages 5 to 9
Location: Central Park, Fridays, 4:30-5:30pm, Ages 7-9 and 5:30 to 6:30 for ages 5-6. Cost: $70 (Includes Tee Shirt)
Duration: 6 weeks
